Blackadder Goes Forth
Adapted for the stage from the hit BBC television comedy series; ‘Blackadder Goes Forth’ tells the story of Captain Edmund Blackadder during the first World War. Set in 1917 on the Western Front our reluctant hero finds himself trapped in the trenches, with his companions Baldrick and George, counting down the hours to yet another disastrous ‘big push’. Can he come up with a cunning plan in time to escape the madness?
This laugh-out-loud comedy features all the best scenes from Richard Curtis and Ben Elton’s award-winning series and includes favourite characters Darling, Melchett, Bob and Flashheart.
The play has been selected as a tribute to mark the centenary commemoration of the outbreak of the Great War with a percentage of all ticket sales being donated to Comic Relief and Help for Heroes.
This amateur production is presented by Day8 Productions.
