Hi-de-Hi! Presented by Whitley Bay Theatre Company
Whitley Bay Theatre Company are proud to announce another fantastic comedy for their October 2011 production - "Hi-de-Hi!"
This well known 80's BBC sit-com proved to be very popular throughout its time and following the national tour - WBTC have now secured the rights to perform the show.
Hi-de-Hi! is set in Maplins, a holiday camp owned by entrepreneur, Joe Maplin, in the fictional seaside town of Crimpton-on-Sea. Maplin will take to the PLAYHOUSE stage alongside other show favourites Spike Dixon, Ted's sidekick; supercilious dance instructors Barry and Yvonne Stuart-Hargreaves; alcoholic Punch and Judy man Mr Partridge, Jockey Fred Quilley, and chalet maid Peggy Ollerenshaw.
Sure to be a crowd pleaser, what better way to ignore the horrible weather that October brings than to slip away to happier times and enjoy a nostalgic romp back in the 1950's and 60's.
So roll your sleeves up, put your hanky on your head, reveal those knobbly knees and get your tickets for a show that is sure to warm the cockles of your heart.
