The Fortunes & The Ivy League
The Fortunes contributed their incredible vocal harmonies to some of the most melodic and enduring pop songs to be released during the 1960s and early 1970s. Following on in the wake of Merseybeat and the R&B of the Rolling Stones, the Fortunes added another dimension to the sound of the classic pop song with their special ingredients of sophisticated orchestration, dual lead vocals and stylish counter-melodies. Although The Fortunes' show concentrates on the classic hits and golden oldies, the Fortunes fantastic vocals together with the group's dynamic musical versatility allows them to stretch their repertoire over a wide range of material; thus giving them the luxury of performing many of the great songs from the beginnings of 'rock n roll' to the present day!
Fortunes stunning show contains classic hits such as "You've Got Your Troubles" "Here It Comes Again" "Storm In a Tea Cup" "Here Comes That Rainy Day Feeling Again" "Freedom Come Freedom Go" "Seasons In The Sun" "Caroline" & many more. . . .
Also featuring Bob Jackson of BADFINGER fame!
"Come & Get It" "No Matter What" "Day After Day" & the classic "Without You"
THE IVY LEAGUE
Perry Ford was the only original member through the late 60's, which is when Dave Buckley joined to add his unique falsetto voice and keep the sound alive and original. Dave and Jon kept The Ivy League going through the 70's and beyond (With Perry's blessing) at a time when most 60's bands had faded away. They built the show in to one of the best comedy cabaret acts in the country
